University of Arkansas Razorbacks
Located in Fayetteville, the Razorbacks of University of Arkansas are a huge deal to sports fanatics in Arkansas. Less than 30 miles away from Bentonville, this university is home to 26,000 students, and was founded in 1871.
When the Razorbacks are playing at home, they play at one of two locations: Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, or War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock. With an all-time record of 700–475–40, the Razorbacks rank as the 23rd most successful football team in the history of college football based on their number of wins.
Arvest Ballpark: Northwest Arkansas Naturals Baseball
Located just 20 miles from Bentonville in Springdale, Arkansas, Arvest Ballpark is home to Northwest Arkansas’s minor league baseball team, the Naturals. With a capacity to hold 6,500 baseball fans, Arvest Ballpark is a go-to for fun summer events, including baseball games, festivals, and every sort of family fun entertainment you can imagine.

Razorback Regional Greenway
36 miles of off-road, shared-use trails connects Lake Bella Vista to Lake Fayetteville via the Razorback Regional Greenway. Along the way, one passes through 6 downtown areas, a slew of shopping areas, and an assortment of entertainment venues. A project that cost nearly $38 million, the greenway was funded by a national transportation grant, a matching grant, and a grant from the Walton Family Foundation. There also many mountain bike trails to enjoy all over the area!
Beaver Lake
22 miles from Bentonville and 28,370 acres big, Beaver Lake boasts 487 miles of shoreline, 2,008 acres of campgrounds, and 12 parks. This Arkansas hot-spot allows residents a space to relax while swimming, camping, and most notably—fishing. Smallmouth and largemouth bass frequent the waters at Beaver Lake, as do catfish, striped bass, breams, and many others. With multiple campgrounds, cabins, and resorts surrounding the area, Beaver Lake is sure to be a spot for some good, old fashioned summer fun with your family.
Hobbs State Park Conservation Area
This 12,056-acre state park along the south shore of Beaver Lake spans across three counties: Benton, Carroll, and Madison to be exact. Though it’s about 25 miles from Bentonville, anyone living in the area won’t want to miss an opportunity to spend time at Hobbs State Park, where it’s 60-mile border homes a plethora of trails and historical sites.
Arkansas’s only public, outdoor shooting range complete with a bullet trap is housed here, and it’s the only state park in Arkansas where hunting is allowed. If horseback riding is your thing, Hobbs State Park Conservation Area has 24 miles of multi-use trails that are open year-round.
