The picture at left is the community pool at the prestigious neighborhood Lochmoor Club. The pool and playground at Lochmoor Club are a huge draw for families with kids. The average home in Lochmoor Club is a 3183 sqft, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, for sale at $380,000.
These neighborhoods with pools and playscapes that seem to have better and faster resale value then the neighborhoods without the pools and playscapes. It is my opinion that the average family with kids at homes would like to have a pool as a way to entertain the kids and guests. However, since the cost of the average cost of a pool is $20,000 most families either don’t have the cash or don’t want to spend the cash on a pool. The solution is a community pool. It is easy for mom to say you kids go to the pool where the kids will meet and make friends. It is a great place to have a birthday party for one of the kids or to have a family gathering.
The picture at right is the pool and plyground at Oxford Ridge. This neighborhood has held its value really well for new construction and for homes that are being sold by the current resident. The average home in Oxford Ridge is a 2670 sqft, 4 bedroom, 2 bath, for sale at $277,000. The neighborhood is conveniently located on HWY 12 West just a few miles off Walton Blvd.
