Stonehenge is a residential subdivision very conveniently located 2 miles Northwest of Downtown Bentonville, Arkansas, 1.4 miles South of I-540, and 2.1 miles from the Wal-Mart Home Office. All the conveniences of town are within short driving distance. Nearby are several schools (elementary through junior high), dance studios, gymnastics studios, walking and biking trails, grocery stores, fast food, etc. The new Crystal Bridges Museum is only a few miles away. Stonehenge is located along North Walton Blvd. It’s proximity to Interstate 49 makes it perfect for the person that works anywhere along the Northwest Arkansas corridor.
Stonehenge has 116 single family homes. The lots are sizeable and mostly around 0.5 acres. The development was completed in 1993. In the last 24 months, homes have sold from a low of $195,000 to as high as $529,000. The homes are mostly custom homes, but some builders built some homes as investments called spec homes or speculative investment homes. I would estimate that 75% are custom homes while 25% are builder spec homes.
This subdivision has a lot of character. The terrain is varied, but is mostly rolling hills with large, mature trees. The roads meander through the neighborhood rather then set on a typical grid layout like most subdivisions. This makes the neighborhood a very desirable place to live.
